Product Certificate of Conformity (PCoC)
The Product Certificate of Conformity (PCoC) is issued for each regulated product in accordance with the applicable product standards outlined in the relevant Technical Regulation. The PCoC is valid for one (1) year. To simplify the product registration process on the SABER platform, we offer support to importers by managing the registration on their behalf.
Steps for Product Certificate of Conformity (PCoC) Issuance:
- Importer submits a request for the PCoC.
- Product details are entered into the system using the KSA Customs Tariff Code.
- Selection of Certification Bodies (CBs), such as TUVSW.
- Payment of PCoC fees.
- Conformity assessment and submission of supporting documents/verification results by TUVSW.
- Issuance of the PCoC through the system.
What is SASO/SABER Certification?
The Saudi Standards, Metrology, and Quality Organization (SASO) is the national standards body of Saudi Arabia. It is responsible for developing, promoting, and maintaining national standards to ensure the quality and safety of products in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. SASO’s main goal is to enhance the competitiveness of Saudi products and protect the interests of consumers.
SASO/SABER (Saudi Product Safety Program) is a certification and conformity assessment system introduced by SASO to regulate and control the quality of products entering the Saudi market. The SABER system aims to streamline and automate the process of obtaining product conformity certificates, ensuring that products meet the required Saudi standards before they are allowed to be sold in the country.
